WGFRF Scientific Activities

The William Guy Forbeck Research Foundation is working with the scientific community to shortening the cancer research timetable.

Research funding dedicated for past and current Forbeck Scholars are now available by the Foundation.

Funding of research projects will be based upon collaborations between two laboratory fellows/scholars/MDs in their early years of scientific development.  At least one of the collaborators must be either a past or current scholar.  The funding will be for two years in the first instance, with the option for one additional year subject to review.

The funding will be available to all past and current scholars whether they are based in the US or outside of the country.  Preference will be given to scholars that are developing their own laboratories and need funding to enable them to establish themselves as independent investigators capable of receiving major funding from alternative bodies.

Funding applications will be reviewed by the Scientific Advisory Board of the Foundation as well as outside investigators knowledgeable in the field under review.

More information is available by request.  If you have questions please contact admin@wgfrf.org.
