Helping Scholars Accelerate Foward
The Forbeck Foundation is dedicated to helping our Scholars recover from laboratory setbacks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. As many areas of the country open with increased rates of vaccination, we would like to offer one-time grants up to $30,000 to help accelerate their work forward. These proposals should be unique from the 'recovery' grants that we offered previously and should focus on the science that drives their work.
Grant Information
- Maximum of $30,000 per request, with only one request per scholar. The Foundation will look favorably on applications that focus on a specific experiment or question that is critical for the Scholar to obtain the preliminary data needed for a larger Foundation/Federal award. The request should be a maximum of two pages and clearly delineate the critical question to be asked; how the money will allow the experiment(s) to be conducted; and how the results will allow the Scholar to advance her/his work.
- We are limiting request to individuals that joined the scholar program from 2015 onwards
- Applications must be approved by their institution
- Applications are due by September 30, 2021. They will be reviewed by the Foundations Scientific Advisory Board. Approved applicants will be notified by October 31st, 2021.
